Northwestern's Snowy University Hall
A winter day at University Hall on Northwestern University's campus in Evanston, Illinois. The hall was constructed 1866-1869 in the High Victorian Gothic Style from limestone quarried in nearby Joliet. The facility was Northwestern's main campus building until 1887, and has housed a library, chapel, classrooms, residential rooms, a natural history musuem, a cafeteria, the offices of the central administration, the engineering school, and faculty offices.
